Our history
Calvert Markham and Ken Dietz founded the business as Consultancy Skills Training Limited in 1989, since when we have gathered a team of first class consultant tutors, "graduates" of major consultancy practices but now all independent practitioners, with extensive experience in training consultants. From the outset, we have focused on training in consultancy skills, initially designing and delivering only bespoke programmes - courses designed to meet specific needs.
We launched our programme of public consulting training courses in 1997 to enable smaller organisations and independent consultants to participate in our more popular training courses. And of course, it enables new recruits to larger clients to be trained as they join.
In the last ten years as many organisations have became flatter, individuals need the skills to work in virtual teams across functions or with outsource partners. As a result more job descriptions feature core consultancy skills as a requirement.
To reflect the changes in our market, we changed our name to Elevation Learning Limited in 2007. This change of name recognises the need to raise the consulting performance of individuals who use consulting skills in their work, but do not necessarily have the word "consultant" in their job title.
In 2006 the Institute of Business Consulting recognised our work by awarding us Endorsed Training Provider" status. We have a wide ranging portfolio of consultancy training courses which contribute CPD hours to their internationally recognised CMC award.
