Diploma in Management Consultancy

Introduction

The Diploma in Management Consultancy is a publicly recognised qualification awarded by the Institute of Consulting. Elevation Learning is an Approved Centre for the delivery of this qualification.

The Elevation Learning Diploma programme covers the required syllabus in five modules consisting of a blend of face to face training, coaching and guided self study. Each module is standalone, and you can accumulate credits on the successful completion of each one. In total the Diploma needs 240 hours of work, but you can spread this over a period of time to suit your own timetable.

Prior Learning

It is recommended that candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent or have a minimum of five years’ business experience.

Course description

Introduction to the Diploma this is taken only by those wishing to take the Diploma and covers professional practice and professional development.

Organisational dynamics which covers features of internal and external operating environments; handling organisational change; working with clients and their organisation; understanding group dynamics; developing high impact teams and working effectively with groups.

Developing consulting insight helps you understand clients and their predicaments. It covers the “hard” analytical skills needed to sell and deliver consulting projects and so deals with the research, analysis and tools and techniques needed to create effective working relationships, establish client needs, develop proposal content and contractual terms of engagement, and create deliverables.

Compelling communication covers productive working relationships, personal impact, communication methods and presenting with impact.

Effective engagement reviews different consulting models, identifying effective intervention management strategies, project strategy and lifecycle and project.

The courses associated with all the modules other than the introduction can be taken without the need to enter the Diploma.

Duration

The Diploma is best taken as a programme run over some 12 month as part of a group from a single business. Elevation Learning oversees the whole programme and runs it on your premises for a group of 6 – 12 students.

As an Approved Centre, we arrange the registration and assessment of all the students on the Diploma. Your fees include all materials, attendance at training events and follow up coaching.
