This practical, intensive 2-day consulting training course is designed to develop Consultants' Selling Skills. By the end of the course you will have a better understanding of the key tasks involved in selling and how to perform them well. You will learn the consultancy sales process and techniques for handling sales transactions, and there are plenty of opportunities for skills practice in role-playing exercises and for personal coaching in handling sales situations.
Few consultants have previous sales experience; indeed, many actively rejected selling when they chose their career. Yet selling is essential for the survival of a consultancy practice, and similar skills are needed in internal roles too. Career progression may depend on taking on a more commercial role and performing it well.
This course is for consultants looking to move to a sales role, or needing to add selling to their existing skill set. It is based on the four stages of Elevation Learnings CONSULT selling methodology: Promotion, Prospection, Proposition design and Pitching. On the first day you will go through the whole process and apply the learning through a series of role playing exercises. Day 2 builds on this work: we bring in actors to play the client and so you have the chance for some high reality skills practice.
So this course will not only provide you with useful tools and techniques but also increase your confidence in engaging with clients in a sales situation.
