Presentation skills for consultants
There are lots of courses on presentation skills; this one-day intensive workshop is directed specifically to the needs of consultants.
Course description
Consultants are expected to have superlative presentation skills to:
- Pitch to clients in selling situations
- Communicate with client staff
- Persuade clients to accept their recommendations
- Speak at conferences
- Run workshop and training sessions
- Flex their style to suit the needs of different audiences
This is a one-day workshop led by an experienced management consultant, supported by a drama coach which addresses each of these important areas.
The course is based on a why/what/how model as follows:
| Why?: Specification | Using presentations as a means to an end; recognising and coping with constraints on time, space and style |
| What? Message design | Message design and media. How to brighten your presentations |
| How? Delivery skills | Presentations as theatre: performance and rhetorical skills |
The course is practically based, so participants will work on delivering and improving presentations they will have prepared beforehand which they will bring to the course
