Overview
A two-day workshop in which consultants learn a systematic approach to identify, define and solve their clients business problems.
Course description
Problem solving is at the core of a consultant's work. And it is crucial that it is the right problem that is being solved! So this consulting training course starts by encouraging you to take a pace back and start with problem recognition and definition before thinking about solving a problem.
The course programme follows a systematic framework:
- Problem recognition
- Problem analysis
- Solution generation
- Plan formulation and implementation
There are, of course, a bewildering array of problem solving tools and techniques available; what we have done on this course is to assemble a kitbag that we have found to be of most use for consultants in the course of their work.
The process we follow for each stage is therefore:
- Explanation and discussion of what is involved and the supporting tools and techniques that you can use
- Practice using these techniques both on consultancy case studies and on your own problems
- How to use this back at work
