This content-rich and practical consulting training course is designed to increase your persuasive powers in a wide range of situations. You will explore different influencing styles and get feedback and insights on which ones to use in your consulting environment.
Influencing has been with us since Eve, persuaded by the snake, convinced Adam to eat the apple. In the flat 21st century organisation the need to influence without formal authority is more pertinent than ever. The effectiveness of a good management consultant hinges not only on recommending the right course of action, but on selling those ideas to the client and helping them obtain organisational buy-in.
Over the two days, you will explore a range of influencing models based on leading psychological research. You will complete the SDI (Strength Deployment Inventory) questionnaire to gain insight into your motivations and those of others, so that you can tailor your message to different audiences. There will be video-taped practice with extensive opportunity for feedback and action planning. Your tutor, as an experience management consultant herself, will make all material relevant to the demands of consulting.
